We enjoyed the lecture and concert that we gave as part of the Gassman Electronic Music Series at UC Irvine. Chris was getting his hands wet with his new lighting board and contributed to the plethora of sonic and visual colors we went through that night. Thanks to both Chris and Lizzy for making this gig possible.
Shackle performed at a flute-centered afternoon at CalArts. The place: Wild Beast. Go figure. Robert got to meet an international cast of flutists from shakuhachi to quarter-tone flute players. Thanks to Rachel Rudich for keeping us all in line.
Shackle played an Affair with Andrea Young and Michael Day at a SASSAS organized event in the West Hollywood Library. It was a fruitful collaboration. Thanks to Daniel and Greg for putting this together, and of course to Andrea and Michael for joining in and putting up with us old folks.
An intense concert at the University of Santa Barbara. Thanks Clarence for the great food and wine tasting adventures and we owe Nick for providing perspective throughout.
We were welcomed by enthusiastic, like-minded sprits for our concert at Mills College. A full house in a fabulous room. Wonderful speakers including an old sub rigged in the balcony!
Thanks to John, Jesse, Dan and Zeena for making this all possible.
Shackle performed with the clever and deeply musical Alex Christie in downtown San Francisco. Thanks to Adam Wong and his staff from the Center for New Music for making this possible.
Shackle started her 2014 US West Coast Tour yesterday with classes and a concert at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. Magical place, great people. SNOW! Many thanks to Glen, Jane and Colin for organising this and making us feel at home.
